History

The project began in December 2016 in Argentina and was carried out with ambition from the start.

It was not only thought of as a profitable business, but also as a life project. "Bikinis 5H was thought of as something bigger than myself," Florencia Huarte, founder and CEO of the venture said.

The brand's first collections were custom-made swimsuits, responding to the need of the Argentine female public for swimsuits with a good fit.

In 2017 Bikini 5H moved to Spain, with Barcelona as its new permanent headquarters.

Here, the search for technological innovation prompted the brand to research fabrics made from recycled plastics obtained from the sea and landfills.

This gave a new twist to the venture.

It was no longer just a brand of “cute” and well-fitting bikinis, but also a business with a purpose.

Since this incorporation of textiles, which at that time was a luxury known to very few, we have been promoting the search for creative and sustainable solutions in the rest of the lines of work: we have incorporated biodegradable labels made from seaweed, biodegradable and compostable bags made from recycled non-toxic resins, and we have sought out local producers to reduce the environmental footprint.

Combining all this data with the intention and implementation of positive changes to contribute to society and the environment is what makes this brand have a distinctive seal in the market.
